Bakersfield has a small to moderate airport for those of you flying directly into the area. the airport designation is (BFL).
The Burbank airport (BUR) is a 1.5 hour drive from Bakersfield, and Los Angeleles International (LAX) is roughly 2 hours.
There is an Airport bus which travels from LAX to Bakersfield daily, here is a LINK to the schedule.

The official hotel for the 2012 Dentokan conference is Four Points by Sheraton Bakersfield,
The Four Points has shuttle service to and from the Airport as well as the Airport bus terminal
that travels to and from LAX. The Four Points has offered us a discounted rate for conference
attendies as well as shuttle service to and from the event location (Dojo). We have found this hotel
to have the best accomodations considering the location and services they are willing to provide.
